  • Overview

     

    Purpose

     

    The Sales Consultant is required to drive maximum sales through the provision of an exceptional level of customer service, acting as an ambassador to Heinemann and the brands within our stores. Working as part of a team, the Sales Consultant builds rapport with customers quickly, demonstrating a high level of product knowledge and efficient transaction skills.

    Responsibilities

     

     

    Customer/External contacts

     

    • Delivers a high level of customer service through exceptional communication, product knowledge and a willingness to go above and beyond to meet a customer’s needs
    • Shows a positive attitude, energy and enthusiasm in all interactions with customers
    • Adapts to the different types of customers, showing flexibility in his/her approach
    • Ensures professional presentation in line with company uniform guidelines
    • Efficiently and smartly transacts, ensuring customers are well informed of their outgoing/incoming purchase limits
    • Effectively escalates customer feedback to their Sales Team Leader

     

     

    Sales/Profit

     

    • Achieving individual and collective group Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
    • Demonstrates a high level of product knowledge and proactively seeks further information on new products and market trends
    • Proactively ensures he/she is aware of any current promotions and additional services available for the customers (e.g. ready for collection). Promotes these offers/services to customers
    • Ensures products and promotions are transacted to maintain stock and data integrity
    • Ensures the selling floor and stock presentation is consistently in line with Heinemann Visual Merchandising standards
    • Provides accurate payment handling and cash handling in line with company policies and procedures
    • Ensures adherence to safety, security and compliance policies and procedures.

    • Works collaboratively as part of a team, showing team spirit and actively working well with other team members
    • Communicates professionally, clearly and effectively to other Heinemann team members
    • Encourages a shared sense of achievement
    • Proactively shares knowledge and experience with others

     

    Qualifications

    Skills and Experience:

    • Previous retail experience
    • Ability to deliver exceptional customer service
    • A proactive attitude
    • Ability to work autonomously and effectively within a team
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to perform well under pressure
    • Is enthusiastic, has high energy levels and is passionate about the product
    • Multi-lingual advantageous, but not essential
